A Horrible Beauitful Friday

Been looking around for something that could explain the significance of Easter better than me....not hard to find!

This article explains it very well. Love this author.

A Horrible Beautiful Friday

Kill The Tune

Think I must have been dropped on my head when I was a baby because my musical taste really doesn't bear any resemblance to my upbringing! So heard this on the radio yesterday and going to kill it as my new running track...goodness knows what speed I'll be trying to run to keep up. Even as I write the head is bashing. Oh yes and the arm is going...I gotta go and DANCE!!!

Elmo Makes My Day

Had an awesome weekend and Monday was made awesome by Elmo on Radio 1!! And even better by Elmo and Greg James singing One Direction, History. They actually sang it better (wouldn't take much). Drive times with Greg James make me laugh so much. Embarrassing when sat in stationary traffic!

Spring Is Here

I can now come out of hibernation. Thrown my slanket off, put comfort food away, put on those running shoes and embrace Spring with open arms. I am now operating at 100%, standby mode is off, everything looks better, smells better, even tastes better. I am alive again. I love Spring. Winter, do not show your face again until at last November. Let me have my fill of life before you come and steal it away again with long dark nights and hostile weather.

Learning From Cinderella

I love to escape into Happily Ever After stories and where better to do this than with Cinderella.

Just watched the latest adaptation, with Kenneth Brammer directing. Powerful stuff and pulled at the emotions in all directions. Ella was told by her Mum before she died to have kindness and courage.

Been thinking recently about kindness. I am blown away time and time again by the kindness of people God has put in my life. The tiniest act of kindness goes such a long way and I've learnt by how others have treated me that no act is too small to have an impact. The test for me is showing kindness when I am NOT on the receiving end of it. When the impulse is to be unkind in return, to repay as has been given. Jesus standard is very different

You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[i] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Matthew 5 v 43-47

In Cinderella she appeared to get it right all the time. As I don't live in a Fairy Tale it is something I will need God's help with every day for the rest of my life. But a life lived walking with Jesus is the happiest and gives certainty of a Happy Ever After ending.

You Have To Crack An Egg To Make An Omelette

A new expression I learnt today. Basically, to get something sorted properly you sometimes have to go through some uncomfortable bits to get there.

Made me think about my continuing theme of being lovingly honest with people. What makes me stop is the fear of the omelette getting scrambled when in actual fact it may actually be upgraded to a Frittata! Always got to be food somewhere with Miss Anna.
